1950’s Italian Napoli Rare Articulated Twin Ballerina Dancing Red Shoes Wooden Inlaid Cigarette Music Box Fully Working 5”x 8.5”. This large heavyweight beautifully decorated wooden music box is for holding/hiding cigarettes. The exterior features hand-inlaid patterns of floral swirls while the interior has a pale pink satin fabric lined inner lid with faceted mirror. Either side of the netted skirt tiny dancers, one coral tutu one blue, who twirl and whirl on articulated legs, sit two compartments with 18 grooves on each, which neatly hold a total of 36 cigarettes. The box sits on four wooden turned feet with a wind up mechanism which smoothly plays the unknown tune. In a fabulous dreamy condition, one previous owner from new H 12.5cm W 21.5cm D 14.5cm
